Big G Driver Of The Month November 2024 – Mark Roden

Mark Roden has been an essential part of the Big G Express team since March 29, 2016. With a passion for trucking that began with his first driving job at Super Service, Mark has hauled a wide variety of goods throughout his career, from wedding dresses to plastic containers, and many of the everyday products consumers rely on. Looking back, Mark’s favorite memories often come from the scenic routes, especially driving through the desert, where the towering boulders and endless cactus landscapes left a lasting impression. He appreciates the beauty and serenity that trucking can offer. When not on the road, Mark calls Fyffe, AL, home, where he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. He loves working on his home, both inside and out, and finds peace in watching sports on his big screen, meditating, and giving thanks. Of course, no day is complete without enjoying his time with his daughter, Ciara, and letting his dog run free in the backyard. Mark's advice to new drivers is simple but vital: "Always leave plenty of following distance, stay safe, work hard, and keep it between the lines. Trucking is more than just a job—it’s a way of life.
